Job Overview
Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Part‑Time, Food Service Technician I position in the Nutrition Services Department under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor I.
Responsibilities
Serve or assist with the preparation of food and beverages.
Clean and maintain food service equipment, utensils, and work areas as required.
Assist in maintaining safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at an appropriate level.
Have the ability to portion servings, follow directions, keep simple records, read, and write at a level appropriate to the classification.
Instruct and work with helpers from the patient population.
Physical Requirements
Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform duties contained in this duty statement. Usual duties include standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting loads up to 50 pounds; routinely pushing, pulling, and manipulating food transit carts and hot carts.
