Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Provide contamination and radiation exposure control. Perform or direct surveys where procedures have not been established or where unusual conditions are present or expected. Duties may include working with routine and/or special detection equipment.
As assigned by Management: perform special studies in the evaluation of radiological protection for personnel, environmental, or plant areas; participate in area specific radiation worker qualification and requalification programs; prepare and maintain records and documentation as appropriate; and provide assistance in the preparation of radiation control documents such as RWP's, AMW's, etc. May direct and train others.
Must certify and maintain RCT certification in accordance with the terms of Part 5 Training and Certification Program.
This position is subject to any project within the supervisory work group.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
NRRPT Certification, ANSI3.1 qualified
Academic degree in Health Physics or Nuclear Technology
Minimum Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a radiological environment.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week): starting hourly rate ranges from $51.520 to $54.233, depending on previous experience and education per the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Step increases occur every 6 months until pay reaches top of the scale.
