Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Psychology Fellow.
Job Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Implements neuropsychological assessment and treatment plans for assigned patients as discussed with supervisor. Establishes a rapport with patient. Uses medical, social and psychological information to plan assessment and treatment for patients.
Develops appropriate treatment goals.
Demonstrates skill in application of assessment techniques. Provides adequate rationale for treatment interventions. Communicates results of assessment findings and recommendations to staff and patient (when indicated) in a clear and understandable manner.
Documents assessments and treatments rendered in accordance with department protocols. Documents patient evaluation in test reports, progress reports and other pertinent information properly, accurately and timely.
Maintains records of recommendations for treatment. Ensures that records reflect patient status and progress in accord with service guidelines. Records treatment sessions on all census sheets and statistical sheets. Records all necessary forms as required by department and hospital regulations. Provides documentation and justification letters within the timeframes required by attorneys and third‑party payers.
Assesses patient status and plans appropriate assessment accordingly with primary supervisor. Assesses the patient’s clinical and functional status thoroughly and correctly. Reviews the patient’s medical records as needed. Selects and applies the appropriate neuropsychological assessment tools during evaluation and re‑evaluation. Utilizes interviewing skills that are tailored to evaluation needs. Designs evaluations to answer clinically relevant questions.
Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D./PsyD.) in Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology.
Eligible to practice psychology in New York State (Limited Permit in Psychology).
Coursework and clinical experience in neuropsychology.
Supervised neuropsychology experience during internship or practicum.
Completion of all requirements for Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
Provide Department proof of application to NY State for Limited Permit upon hire.
Obtain Limited Permit from NY State within 3 months of Date of Hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Salary Range
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $60,000.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
