At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse learning needs. We are currently hiring Educational Diagnosticians for school-based opportunities across Texas.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about assessment, data-driven decision-making, and ensuring students receive the appropriate support to succeed in an educational setting.

What You’ll Do
As an Educational Diagnostician, you will play a critical role in evaluating student needs and supporting eligibility and planning for special education services.

Key responsibilities include:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations

Interpret assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services

Support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams

Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and present evaluation results

Conduct reevaluations in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation

Stay current with federal and Texas special education regulations and best practices

What You’ll Need

Valid Texas certification as an Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist

Experience administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments

Strong understanding of IDEA, FERPA, and special education compliance requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families

Strong organizational and time management skills

Flexibility to support multiple campuses as needed
