As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of surgical procedures. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after surgery, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
Provide explanations and instructions to patients and their families
Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication
Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care
Participate in continuing education to enhance professional growth
Maintain complete and accurate medical records
Float to clinically appropriate units as needed
Participate in on-call rotations, including 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month
Qualifications
Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications
Need 1 year experience in setting
Experience with heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic procedures
