Nursery and Early Education Internship

Overview
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our esteemed partner at two different locations: a traditional nursery/preschool and a bilingual, American‑inspired nursery/preschool. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about early childhood education, bilingual learning, and child development. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in a structured environment, actively supporting children in their daily learning and routines.

Daily Support in Classroom Routine

Assist teachers during children’s arrival and reception.

Support transitions throughout the day (playtime, meals, hygiene routines, rest time).

Help supervise lunch and snack breaks, ensuring safety and proper behavior.

Assist with basic hygiene tasks under staff guidance.

Participation in Didactic Activities

Support teachers during educational activities, including early literacy, numeracy, and themed lessons.

Contribute to creative sessions such as drawing, painting, crafts, and sensory play.

Assist during music, dance, and singing lessons, encouraging participation.

Workshop Support

Participate in afternoon workshop sessions held twice a week (e.g., “cooking in”). Help prepare materials and support children during hands‑on activities.

Assist teachers in managing small groups during workshop rotations.

Support for English‑Language Immersion

Reinforce English exposure by using simple vocabulary and phrases during routine tasks.

Encourage children to use English naturally during play and guided activities.

Collaborate with the native English‑speaking teacher during bilingual sessions.

Collaboration with Educational Staff

Work closely with educators and teaching assistants in both nursery and early childhood groups.

Observe and learn age‑appropriate educational strategies used by professionals.

Follow guidance from supervising teachers to ensure consistency in behavior management and routines.

Child Observation and Engagement

Help monitor children’s participation, behavior, and well‑being during activities.

Encourage positive social interactions and support children who need extra guidance.

Assist in creating a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment.

Ideal Profile

Studies in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Sciences, or related fields.

Good communication skills in English (around C1).

Comfortable working with multiple age groups in both nursery and early childhood settings.

Willingness to participate in afternoon workshops once or twice a week.

Open to learning different pedagogical approaches and supporting bilingual learning practices.
