About the Role
As a CBRE Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for the calibration and adjustment of equipment in accordance with the customer and requirements. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.

What You’ll Do

Perform calibrations and adjustments for numerous calibration devices within the temperature, humidity, pressure, physical dimensional, torque, force, flow, mass, conductivity and electrical disciplines.

Provide assistance and perform HEPA testing/Bio Safety Cabinet certifications.

Maintain proper documentation in the metrology database. This includes calibration certificates, equipment history forms, timesheets, and automated calibration software.

Communicate with customers about the progress of the testing, repair, and services.

Present certificates in the correct format to meet customer requirements.

Accompany Senior staff to customer locations and calibrate equipment on-site.

Assist in maintaining laboratory ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Identify and use appropriate measurement procedures.

Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.

Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You’ll Need

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
