seeks a Compliance & Risk Specialist for a Human Capital Programmatic Evaluation & Compliance engagement in the Mid Atlantic Region. The role is an Exempt W2 position (no overtime) supporting a Federal science agency HR modernization program.
Job Overview
Provide services and support as a Compliance & Risk Specialist, delivering innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency through digital transformation and process automation. Enhance data‑driven decision‑making using advanced analytics and business intelligence; support regulatory compliance with federal human capital management policies; facilitate seamless integration of IT systems and workforce planning tools; and optimize service delivery through performance‑based outcomes and SLAs. Responsible for ensuring compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, Section 508, and federal data privacy mandates.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency via digital transformation and process automation.
Analyze data and provide role‑based advanced analytics and business intelligence to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Ensure compliance with federal human capital management policies and cybersecurity regulations (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, Section 508, data privacy).
Facilitate integration of IT systems and workforce planning tools.
Optimize service delivery through performance‑based outcomes and SLAs.
Identify risks, support audits and reporting, and provide specialized functional support for cybersecurity and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or cybersecurity.
Experience with federal regulations and compliance frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with business tools: Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, Visio.
