Receiving Specialist
As a Receiving Specialist, you'll support day-to-day operations of the Store's receiving function. Key responsibilities include receiving and ensuring accuracy of incoming loads, overseeing wareroom activity, ensuring SOP compliance, and ensuring quality of incoming products. You will also be responsible for making decisions based on established guidelines and standards, applying knowledge of vendor sales floor conditions, and communicating to ensure compliance. Additionally, you will ensure communication of vendor stock conditions/levels to appropriate parties, ensure accuracy/completeness of incoming invoices and outgoing credits, and research/resolve unusual billing issues with appropriate parties. You will also communicate below-standard wareroom, cooler, and freezer conditions to Top Store management, use online tools to ensure vendors are giving consistent, timely credit on DSD merchandise, maintain paperwork file system for all departments, maintain a return goods station for all damaged product, maintain safety guidelines, and maintain Partner and vendor relations.
Qualifications include PC skills in MS Office (Word, Excel) and H-E-B systems, initiative, and willingness to do what needs to be done. Education requirements include completion of Company Orientation, basics of Safety and power jack training, and Wareroom Manager certification. Receiving Controller certification is required upon hire. Physical demands include constantly bending, kneeling, standing, reaching, squatting, and the ability to lift loads up to 60+ lbs.
