Description
The Information Technology Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Information Technology department. This position assists with scheduling, ordering, tracking deliveries, and the communication of the department. Additionally, this position will provide administrative support and assistance to the Information Technology management team.
Responsibilities:
Provides and maintains documentation related to purchasing and deliveries for the Information Technology (IT) projects, labeling and distributing deliveries upon arrival
Provides administrative support to IT management including but not limited to: maintaining IT budgets, invoicing, tracking expenses, etc.
Assists with purchasing Information Technology hardware and software
Advises individuals inside and outside the organization on the status of current projects
Coordinates commitments, appointments and projects for the department
Maintains computer and copier lease documentation, POTS lines documentation, cell phone accounts, and ISP/Service Provider documentation
Provides assistance in managing the Companys cellular phone account and related devices including ordering and deactivating devices/service, monitoring account data plan utilization to ensure thresholds are not exceeded, updating and maintaining account records, and assisting employees with cellular device questions and needs
Ensures that requests for information are relayed to the appropriate staff member
Prepares reports, including conclusions and recommendations, for solutions to problems and issues
Assists with vendor Customer Relations Management (CRM)
Performs all duties in adherence to Company standards
Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards corporate users and IT vendors
Assists with annual vendor reviews and other departmental paperwork
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1+ years of related experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
Must be able to read, write and understand English and have good verbal and written communication skills
PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment)
Microsoft Office skills required
Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
Well organized and efficient with the ability to manage multiple priorities
