
Assistant Overnight Manager

Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for the nighttime operation of the store in the absence of the Night Manager. Oversees clerks and ensures that shelves are stocked and leveled properly to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Responsible for ordering and receiving Warehouse or DSD product and ensuring adequate levels of product inventory are kept on hand at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
Oversee the entire Third‑Shift store operation two to three nights a week.
Ensure proper shelf conditions, stock levels, leveling, blocking, and that all “out of stock” signs are hung.
Assist in scheduling all Night Crew Associates.
Manage Front‑End and Office operations, including check approvals and nightly resets.
Assist with ordering all merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department to meet transmission times.
Store excess product in the Back Room or designated area per corporate guidelines.
Ensure proper merchandising standards, including shelf allocation and sale items.
Assist with hiring, training, and development of new Night Crew Associates in Grocery operations.
Recommend or implement discipline for Night Crew Associates per company policy.
Implement refrigeration and security procedures during Third Shift, and perform all weekly and nightly resets.
Unload Warehouse and DSD merchandise deliveries.
Evaluate Store Associates’ performance and progress.
Ensure all productivity measures of the 3rd‑shift grocery crew meet standards and all tasks are accomplished.
Implement and maintain all corporate and state sanitation and pricing procedures.
Protect the company’s inventory and assets.
Control shrinkage through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exposure to cold environment – occasional 1‑3 hours.
Pivoting – constant 5‑8 hours.
Squatting/Kneeling – constant 5‑8 hours.
Pushing/Pulling – occasional 1‑3 hours up to 2400 lbs.
Lifting – frequent 3‑5 hours up to 50 lbs.
Lifting – occasional 1‑3 hours up to 75 lbs.
