Qualifications

Advanced subject mastery in geology, meteorology, oceanography, astronomy fundamentals, plate tectonics, rock and mineral identification, weathering and erosion, atmospheric processes, climate systems, and natural resources.

Strong conceptual teaching and problem‑solving skills, including breaking down plate interactions, interpreting weather maps and seismic data.

Familiarity with New York Regents Earth Science standards and ability to adapt instruction to middle and high school students.

Effective teaching methods: identify concepts students struggle with, explain with multiple approaches, adapt to individual learning styles.

Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.

Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
