Responsibilities
Perform pipe welding on chilled water piping systems, ensuring strong, leak‑free welds.
Must be able to solder and braze
Working with chill water systems, copper, cast iron, and carbon steel
Apply a minimum of 5 years of field welding experience to complete work efficiently and accurately.
Read and interpret blueprints and piping drawings to plan and execute welding tasks.
Cut, form, bend, and assemble sheet metal using press brakes, shears, rollers, and hand tools.
Work exclusively on pipe and chilled water lines, with no structural welding responsibilities.
Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, correcting defects as needed.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and accessories in safe, working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Collaborate with fabricators, installers, and project leaders to meet production and project timelines.
Work with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and cold‑rolled steel.
Perform grinding, sanding, and finishing operations to meet cosmetic and functional requirements.
Use both TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques as required by the project.
Support brazing and soldering tasks as needed to complete piping systems.
Work Environment
This is a field‑based role on an active construction site, working primarily on chilled water piping systems. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with additional Saturday work from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as needed. You will work outdoors and must be comfortable in the elements, including heat, cold, and varying weather conditions. The role requires the daily use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and personal protective equipment, including a welding hood, which you are expected to bring and maintain. The environment is safety‑focused, fast‑paced, and collaborative, with close coordination among welders, fabricators, and installers to meet project deadlines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
