Peace Heating and Air is seeking a skilled and dependable
Commercial Duct Installer
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing commercial HVAC duct systems, reading blueprints, and working safely on active construction sites. This position requires strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a team to complete projects on schedule.
Responsibilities
Install commercial HVAC ductwork, including
rectangular, round, spiral, and flexible duct systems .
Read and interpret
blueprints, mechanical drawings, and duct layouts .
Measure, cut, assemble, and install duct systems according to project specifications.
Install duct supports, hangers, and related hardware.
Seal ductwork using
mastic, gaskets, and foil tape
to meet code and project requirements.
Install duct insulation and vapor barriers as required.
Operate tools and equipment such as
lifts, drills, saws, and sheet metal tools .
Perform field modifications to duct systems as needed.
Coordinate work with other trades on commercial job sites.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all
OSHA safety standards
and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
Experience in
commercial HVAC duct installation .
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Knowledge of commercial duct systems and sheet metal installation methods.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and HVAC installation equipment.
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to lift
50 lbs or more .
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Aerial lift certification preferred.
