
Manufacturing Production Supervisor in Trenton

Supervisor is responsible for achieving the daily production program with the highest levels of Safety, Quality, Costs, and Environment. They drive continuous improvement activities, ensure skill development for team members and leaders, maintain a positive social climate, and develop team autonomy. The Supervisor must understand the broader manufacturing organization, mobilize support groups and resources as needed, and lead and assist in problem solving within their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Achieve daily production program with highest Safety, Quality, Costs, and Environment standards.
Drive continuous improvement activities and ensure skill development for team members and leaders.
Maintain a positive social climate and develop autonomy of the team.
Mobilize support groups and resources across the manufacturing organization as required.
Lead and assist in problem solving within the area of responsibility.
Direct the driver workforce to meet daily demands from plants and suppliers.
Communicate and handle issues outside normal scope, including delays and breakdowns.
Ensure proper and timely material flow through constant contact with Management.
Handle safety matters, including employees’ injuries, medical reports, and coordination with medical staff.
Coordinate with incident commander and security for spills and other environmental issues.
Publish shift notes for proper hand‑off with results and instructions for the next shift.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
Essential skills for a successful Supervisor include problem solving, active listening, critical thinking, effective leadership, and managerial skills. The Supervisor must be a self‑starter with motivation to autonomously learn, develop, and lead.
