Responsibilities
Inpatient Therapist – License Required

Full‑Time

The Program Therapist performs social service functions to assist clients in meeting their bio‑psycho‑social needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Duties include providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. Services include crisis intervention, individual therapy, short and/or long‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. The Program Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of consumers’ internal and external support systems.

Qualifications

Experience/Education : Master's Degree in a mental health/human services field is required. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population.

Licensure/Certification : LPC or LSW Required. LCPC or LSW preferred. Primary source verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.

Skills : Trained in psychotherapy techniques providing therapy, training in evidence‑based models including CBT, DBT, etc. preferred. Time management and experience completing therapeutic documentation.
