We are seeking a
Board‑Eligible/Board‑Certified Hematology & Medical Oncology physician
with a clinical interest or current practice specializing in
cutaneous malignancies
(including melanoma, non‑melanoma skin cancers) and
sarcoma
to join our rapidly expanding oncology program in
Raleigh, NC .
Position Highlights
You will join a collaborative oncology team that currently includes
8 physicians and 14 NP/PA professionals
practicing within a highly integrated cancer program. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a broad range of oncologic and benign hematologic conditions and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment working closely with:
Surgical oncology, olorectal surgery, Hepatobiliary surgery, Breast and thoracic surgery, Gastroenterology, Radiation oncology, Dermatology (partnered practices), Radiology and pathology
WakeMed’s surgical services include trauma/emergency general surgery, colorectal, breast, thoracic, minimally invasive, and bariatric surgery, supported by
two fellowship‑trained surgical oncologists .
The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APPs within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed.
