Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated CNC Setup Machinist with some prior experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in operating CNC machinery and a strong desire to expand their skills and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines (both lathe and mill) safely and efficiently to produce precision parts.
Setup and Program CNC machines.
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and inspection plans.
Load/unload parts, inspect work using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Monitor machines for proper operation and report any issues to the supervisor.
Perform basic machine maintenance (change tooling, clean area, etc.).
Keep accurate records of work performed and parts produced.
Work closely with senior machinists to learn setup procedures.
Demonstrate a willingness to take on increasing responsibilities over time.
Qualifications
2 years minimum of CNC machine setup and programming experience.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to learn and grow into a setup role.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
