What you do
As the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader’s go‑to for developing and implementing the store’s Merchandising strategy. You train and coach your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards every day, ensuring the store is always guest‑ready through effective replenishment and that floorsets, merchandising, and marketing brand standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
Drive sales as a key Leader on Duty, maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and develop short‑ and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs.
Coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the store consistently represents AEO brand standards, leading day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments, and replenishment.
Motivate and inspire your team through AEO’s core values, holding them accountable to the customer service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
Recruit and hire strong talent, train and develop your team to provide outstanding service.
Provide ongoing performance feedback through real‑time coaching, touch‑bases, development plans, and performance reviews, celebrating your team’s performance.
Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout every zone, and keep the Fitting Rooms guest‑ready.
Ensure store safety standards are maintained, adhere to Asset Protection standards, follow AEO policies and procedures, and do the right thing.
Qualifications
Passion for AE and Aerie products.
Experience leading retail management teams.
Strong multitasking, attention to detail, priority‑setting, and time‑management skills.
Ability to lead and develop teams and general understanding of employment law.
Business acumen.
Flexible availability to work during guest peak times.
