Orange County Utilities provides water resources and solid waste recovery services to protect and enrich the lives of the citizens and guests of Orange County Florida. The Customer Service Division handles the billing and accounts receivable for water and wastewater services for our 200,000 service connections, as well as billing for Mandatory Refuse, Solid Waste Haulers, and other miscellaneous utility-related fees.
The Customer Service Division is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Program Coordinator. This position provides professional functional and technical support for the Customer Information Systems (CIS). Application training will be provided.
Job Description

This key position is responsible for professional and administrative work associated with planning, coordinating and managing various aspects of a program or division within a department.
Work is performed with considerable independent judgement and is under the direction of the Program manager and is reviewed through periodic conferences and reports.
Representative Duties/Assignments

Ensures that CIS systems and interfaces are properly functioning and provides guidance and support.
Supports the maintenance of existing business processes, procedures, specifications, testing scripts, change control, and training.
Provides functional support and assistance by establishing procedures, reports, answering routine questions, and resolving problems.
Supports user training as needed.
Assists with planning, documenting, testing, internal customer service, and project management for current and future information systems operations and projects.
Analyzes user requirements, identifies alternatives, assists with developing business cases, recommends alternatives, and assists with procuring solutions.
Drafts and reviews specification sections, scope of services, and request for proposal procurement documents. Advises management on the status of CIS projects and provides professional advice on matters affecting the divisions.
Participates in supporting projects that involve other department divisions, county departments, and outside vendors.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field, and one (1) year of experience in utilities, billing, development enterprise, or customer service. In lieu of the degree requirements, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences

Experience with Utilities business processes and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Salary and Benefits

Pay Grade: 015 - From $25.00 to $32.49
FLSA Status: Exempt
