Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Inpatient Neurovascular – Rotational

Scope of Position
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The APP collaborates with one or more physicians and other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care, focusing on preventive health and the management of acute or stable chronic conditions. The APP performs medical services that have been specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and the certifying organization through which the APP holds licensure.

Position Summary
The APP provides health care services to patients, working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff. Healthcare services include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio

Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing

Master of Science Degree in Nursing

Acute Care NP Degree preferred.

0 years of relevant experience required.

0–2 years of ICU or inpatient nursing experience preferred.

OR

Graduate of a PA‑C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA‑C

0 years of relevant experience required.

0–2 years of ICU or inpatient nursing experience preferred.

Additional Information
Join an established APP team that manages neurovascular patients independently and in collaboration with board‑certified Neurovascular Attendings. Responsibilities include inpatient management of the neurovascular patient population across the continuum of care, including hyper‑acute stroke treatments, ICU and step‑down management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients. Rotational hours are 6 am‑4 pm, including weekends and holidays.

Scheduled Hours: 40 per week

Shift: Varying shifts
