Job Overview
This position contributes to the mission of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and the goals of the department by obtaining and/or assisting in the processing of laboratory specimens to facilitate the production of quality results.

General Responsibilities

Performs LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred.

At least 2 years of active phlebotomy experience required.

The applicant must possess current skills in the required areas.

Phlebotomy Certificate from an accredited phlebotomy program and a National Certification with one of the following recognized organizations: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT), or National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel (NCA).

Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
