
Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

The WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, a Trinity Consultants team, is driven by purpose, innovation, and a shared commitment to complex environmental challenges. As part of Trinity Consultants’ Water and Ecology division, we blend expertise in environmental consulting, wetlands, cultural resources, GIS, landscape architecture, and engineering to deliver impactful solutions that help clients navigate regulatory complexities.
Responsibilities
Develop water/wastewater improvement plans and/or master plans under the direction of a project manager.
Prepare technical reports and engineering design plans.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and draft engineering plans; review plans by drafters/designers.
Assist project managers and leadership with existing client coordination and marketing to new clients.
Participate in responding to RFPs and in business development activities within the water/wastewater sector.
Represent Trinity at industry events, conferences, and organizations as needed.
Oversee junior EITs and drafters for task execution.
Maintain and track task budgets and schedules; coordinate with subconsultants.
Respond to task‑related inquiries; deliver and receive plans and meet with clients as assigned.
Mentor junior staff and assist with their technical development.
Pursue and complete technical training to maintain professional competency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona (or qualification to obtain one in Arizona).
Minimum of four (4) years of experience as an engineer.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
Experience with engineering reports and land development plans.
Familiarity with water/wastewater systems and municipal standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with modeling software is a plus.
