Ongoing enrollment in a recognized teacher education program and active pursuit of Hawaii licensing requirements as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teaching and continuous professional improvement.
Licensing Requirements
Upon hire you must hold a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. If hired without a completed Teacher Education Program, you have a maximum of three years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. Within each year of employment you must demonstrate active pursuit of licensing requirements, as set forth by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB).
