Kelly® is seeking a Document Control Specialist I to join our team supporting a major energy client in Houston’s Energy Corridor. As a Document Control Specialist, you will manage, track, coordinate, and archive technical drawings for UST Assets across diverse project types—including O&M, Capital, and MOCs—primarily using the Meridian Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Location:
Houston, TX (Energy Corridor)
Schedule:
Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm (Hybrid/3 days/week onsite)
Pay Rate:
$18/hr – $20/hr
Assignment:
Long-term contract (1 year)
Key Responsibilities
Receive, issue, track, distribute, and archive technical drawings using the EDMS.
Coordinate drawing requests and packages for O&M, Capital, and Core projects.
Investigate issues related to data quality, process management, and other potential gaps.
Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and present interpretive and summary data.
Assist external consultants and internal teams with standards, procedures, and contractual requirements related to drawing control.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of drawing control standards and procedures.
Ensure accurate and complete metadata and technical drawings within the EDMS.
Prepare technical drawings for requestors and special projects.
Support Construction and As‑building drawing coordination using Meridian software.
Collaborate closely with Drawing Control Analysts and Drafters across multiple teams to maintain data quality.
Required Qualifications
Related Technology Diploma or equivalent certification and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Experience with Meridian (or similar drawing management systems) and/or oil & gas industry is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills in a deadline‑driven, customer‑focused environment.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with minimal supervision.
Self‑motivated, responsible, and a proactive team player with excellent work ethic.
