Role Overview
As our Front-of-House Shift Lead, you’ll oversee the dining room during your shift—stepping in when management is off‑duty. You’ll lead by example, keep service smooth, and ensure every guest leaves smiling.

Core Responsibilities

Own the FOH during your shift: open/close, supervise, and support hosts, servers, and bussers

Conduct pre‑shift team briefings and post‑shift wrap‑ups

Manage guest flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating logistics

Take and resolve guest feedback and minor issues quickly and professionally

Act as the point person for FOH operations in the absence of the GM or the Assistant Manager

Train and mentor newer team members on service standards and POS systems

Handle shift‑level cash and financial closeouts accurately

Maintain dining room cleanliness, ambiance, and readiness throughout service

Communicate effectively with the kitchen and BOH teams to keep orders flowing

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a shift lead, team captain, supervisor or similar in a casual/fast‑casual or Italian‑style restaurant

Strong command of front‑of‑house roles: host, server, expo, cash handling, etc.

Excellent multitasking, organizational, and leadership abilities

Outstanding communication and a guest service mindset

Reliable, professional, and flexible—able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Comfortable standing for long shifts and assisting with light physical tasks

Food handler certification and Bassett certificate required
