Project Estimator

Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing accurate estimates that support our bids and ensure the successful execution of projects. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a strong internal team and build relationships with General Contractors across the region.
What You’ll Do
Perform detailed 3D take-offs based on construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and addenda.
Accurately calculate all material, labor, and overhead required for each project.
Submit proposals to General Contractors after completing take-offs and receiving internal review.
Participate in job transfer meetings, presenting material quantities, labor budgets, and overhead allocations to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Superintendents.
Collaborate closely with Project Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure they fully understand the scope and requirements before mobilization.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for internal staff and General Contractors, answering project-related questions clearly and confidently.
Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and communication throughout the bid and handoff process.
Work occasional extended hours as needed to meet bid deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (or a related field) from a reputable institution.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with CAD software used for 3D take-offs.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service and building strong working relationships.
A positive, team-oriented attitude.
Prior estimating experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong potential and a willingness to learn.
