Position Overview
MadaLuxe is seeking a skilled
Quality Assurance Specialist
to conduct quality analyses on precious metals, diamonds, colored gemstones, and overall production/design standards to ensure they meet the required needs of IPPOLITA’s final products. The Quality Assurance Specialist will review all incoming production deliveries and ad hoc projects as needed in a timely and efficient manner. The Quality Assurance Specialist should have prior experience in grading precious metals, gemstones, and finished goods with a strong adherence to deadlines. This position is fully on-site at our headquarters location in Seal Beach, CA
Lead initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of evaluation results.
Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for QA procedures to be used by IPPOLITA team.
Perform XRF Analysis on incoming components and finished goods.
Research and resolve special projects related to specific product and process defects. Work closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
Audit in-process and finished good products at contractors and suppliers as needed.
Assist in documentation of defects and communication with contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years jewelry experience preferred
GIA or similar gemology certification preferred
Experienced working as part of a team
Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes
Must be able to understand design spec sheets
Attention to detail with ability to work on long-term and short-term projects, including the ability to inspect merchandise for corrective action purposes as required
Strong organizational and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated working style are required
