Armed Security Transport Manager

Terrible’s is seeking a highly experienced and professional Armed Security Transport Manager to oversee secure cash and valuables transport operations while leading and supervising armed security personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and company property through effective operational oversight, risk management, and compliance with all security regulations.
In addition to performing armed transport duties as needed, the Manager provides leadership, coordinates training programs, enforces policies, and serves as the primary point of contact for law enforcement and internal stakeholders. All activities involving the handling or transportation of cash and valuables carry an affirmative duty to minimize risk and prevent loss due to internal or external theft or fraud.
Key Responsibilities

Operational & Security Oversight

Oversee and manage daily armed transport operations, ensuring secure collection, transit, and delivery of cash and valuables across company locations.
Ensure the safety and security of employees, vehicles, and assets at all times.
Identify vulnerabilities in transport routes and procedures and implement corrective measures.
Maintain continuous communication with dispatch, leadership, and field personnel.
Monitor operations to ensure strict adherence to company security protocols and legal requirements.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Armed Security Transport Officers.
Assign routes, shifts, and responsibilities to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
Address performance issues, provide coaching, and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and safety.
Training Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate and oversee training programs for armed security personnel, including:
Firearms qualification and safe handling
Defensive tactics and use‑of‑force protocols
Defensive and evasive driving techniques
Ensure all officers maintain required certifications, licenses, and requalification.
Conduct or coordinate refresher training and remedial instruction as needed.
Stay current on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices related to armed security operations.
Oversee daily reconciliation of deposits and valuables.
Ensure accurate completion and review of logs, incident reports, and security documentation.
Investigate irregularities, losses, or security breaches and prepare detailed reports.
Access Control & Incident Management

Manage access control procedures for restricted areas.
Respond to and manage security incidents, conflicts, or emergencies, ensuring proper de‑escalation and resolution.
Coordinate responses to theft, damage, unauthorized access, or unusual activity.
Law Enforcement & External Coordination

Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement agencies.
Report criminal activity and assist with investigations as required.
Customer Service & Professional Presence

Provide high‑level customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Address security concerns promptly and professionally to promote a safe environment.
Qualifications

Experience

Prior experience as an armed security guard with demonstrated supervisory or management experience.
Experience in cash handling, armored transport, or high‑risk security operations.
Licensing & Training

Valid Armed Security Guard license and permit to carry a firearm (State of Nevada).
Completion of firearm safety, use‑of‑force, and security training programs.
Skills

Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent observational, surveillance, and risk‑assessment abilities.
Strong communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
I must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Must meet

one

of the following:
Hold a current Nevada concealed weapon permit
Being an active‑duty law enforcement officer in Nevada
Being a retired law enforcement officer with a current LEOSA card
Language Skills

Ability to read, understand, and interpret English‑language safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Ability to resolve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, and Permits

Ability to obtain and maintain all required federal, state, and local licenses, including:
Nevada Armed Security Officer license
Valid driver’s license
Gaming and non‑gaming licenses (Nevada Gaming Control Board)
Preferred Certifications:
ASIS CPP or PSP
First Aid, CPR, and AED
Physical Demands

Regular standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Visual acuity including close, color, and peripheral vision required
