Physical Therapist – Acute – Travel Assignment, Highlands, North Carolina
Position Details
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Availability: ASAP
Pay: $2,095.00 – $2,159.00 per 8‑hour shift
Travel Physical Therapist jobs in Highlands, NC let you work in a rehab-focused hospital with 24 acute and swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, and 10 skilled beds within the nursing home. You will provide therapy in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and a rehab gym, with full access to both hospital and nursing home gyms. The patient ratio is 1:1, and you will float between acute, swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed. Documentation is done in Cerner and NetHealth systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop plans of care for acute, swing, nursing home, and outpatient patients.
Provide therapy in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and gym facilities.
Assist with rounds and care conferences, and communicate progress to the rehab team.
Document sessions in Cerner and NetHealth systems.
Float between acute, swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed.
Qualifications
Current North Carolina Physical Therapy license.
CPR certification.
1 year of experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings (preferred: at least 3 years of medical experience).
PT Compact accepted license (PT(Compact Accepted)).
Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (BLS‑AHA).
Valid SSN and DOB required.
