Summary
Job Description: This employee is responsible for the set‑up and operation of production machines. The employee must also monitor the process and quality of the product and make necessary corrections to maintain a steady flow of quality product to the customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the operation of all types of machines and ensure they are well maintained.
Read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, schedules, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating.
Set up and operate fabricating machines according to the specifications.
Adjust and control machine speed and load.
Monitor finished products to ensure quality conforms to specifications.
Monitor machine operation and report needs for improvement, defects, or malfunctions.
Operate lifting devices as needed.
Seek opportunities for safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor or management member in a timely manner.
Shut down the process if unsafe.
Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications
Dependable and self‑motivated.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
Ability to pay close attention to the operations of the machinery.
