About Spring Mountain Treatment Center
Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs. The facility is a 110‑bed mental health center offering acute crisis stabilization services and a structured therapeutic environment with intensive physician involvement and daily group and educational programs.

Responsibilities
The RN will provide competent clinical care, support patient safety and therapeutic processes, follow hospital and unit procedures, and manage behavior in the acute setting.

Qualifications

Current LCSW in the State of Nevada or Ph.D. level.

Master’s degree in social work or equivalent higher degree in a recognized mental health field; experience with age‑specific inpatient setting preferred.

Five years’ experience working with children, adolescents and adults, preferably in a hospital outpatient setting. Must have knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of psychiatric treatment, standards and requirements of all hospital agencies.

Experience in taking psychosocial history and case management.

Knowledge of developmental psychology of children, adolescents, adults and senior adults and ability to identify pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation.

Knowledge of group therapy theory and practice, group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age‑specific growth and development, addiction issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management, aggressive behaviors and CPR training.

Minimum of three years’ experience working within a counseling position, two of which should be progressive supervisory and administrative role.

Possesses knowledge of clinical issues related to substance abuse patients and their discharge planning.

Experience in developing, managing and marketing outpatient programs, specifically Intensive Outpatient Services and Partial Hospitalization Programs.

Understand and honor the established hospital rules, regulations and policy and procedures.

Good communication skills (reading, writing and speaking).

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Good leadership qualities which include self‑control, patience and empathy.

New hires are required to attend one full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Must successfully pass a background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
