Job Description
Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our team. The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to approved scientific methodology and the company’s Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This physical role may require standing for long periods and working with organic solvents, laboratory glassware, and specialized equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory tasks to gain experience with methods, practices, and programs, including:

Preparation of samples using standard techniques

Performance of chemical analysis using standard techniques

Evaluation and quantification of data

Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor

Routine instrument maintenance

Competency with complex instrumentation and instrument‑specific software (training provided)

Maintain accurate personal training documentation (training records, IDOC/DOC)

Complete assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT) in a timely manner

Document NCMs for projects with quality issues as required

Utilize backlog reports to manage personal workload

Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods

Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality

Proficient with IDOCs for a minimum of 50% of methods carried out in the department

Perform all job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing environmental, health and safety, and quality assurance standards

Demonstrate and promote the company vision

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:

BS or BA in chemistry or a related field (3 years laboratory experience may substitute for a degree)

Experience with EPA methods 1613, 1668, and 8290 is beneficial

Laboratory experience is helpful

Previous production‑oriented work is helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Minimum Skills and Abilities:

Perform calculations with mathematical formulas

Complete work within time and quality constraints

Excellent time‑management and organizational skills

Strong problem‑solving skills

Work independently following written or verbal instructions

Cooperate and coordinate both orally and in writing

Participate in teamwork and meetings

Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English

Additional Preferences

Ability to follow and learn appropriate protocols in at least one of the following disciplines:

Organic preparation

SVOC analysis

Metals preparation and analysis

VOA preparation and analysis

General chemistry preparation and analysis

Additional Information
Position is full‑time, non‑exempt from overtime pay with flexibility for overtime and weekend coverage as needed. The candidate must be able to work one of the following shifts:
- Tuesday – Saturday, 12 pm – 8:30 pm
- Monday – Friday, 3:30 am – 12 pm

The compensation for this position is $19.00 – $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
