Main Duties of the Job

Effective Time Management: ability to manage diaries and day‑to‑day administration requirements.

Teamwork and Adaptability: working closely with Deputy Managers and staff teams, delivering quality support and service; flexibility to cover additional tasks in line with business need.

Care Plan Management: ensuring Care Plans are accurate, reviewed and risk assessed as required, with clear communication to care teams and input onto the Care Management system.

Supervisions: conduct supervisions with all team members and ensure they are documented accurately; annual appraisals will also be conducted.

Spot Checks: responsible for carrying out visits assessing team members, clients and ensuring visits are recorded accurately.

Safeguarding: report and raise any concerns, misconduct or complaints to local management and external agencies.

Continued learning on industry standards and guidance is maintained.

Maintain and update Care Management System (Access).

KPI’s measured against quality and delivery against industry standards.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

Supporting the manager in ensuring that all staff employed within your service are recruited, developed, supported, supervised, trained, and managed in an appropriate and professional manner.

Addressing the training and development needs of yourself and staff and ensuring that they are reviewed against St. Anne’s service objectives.

Maintaining the quality of the service provided within your defined service.

Ensuring that you and staff within your section comply with St. Anne’s values and beliefs, policies and procedures, and that any legal or contractual obligations are fully met.

Ensuring that your service(s) have access to, and use the best current thinking and practice in the delivery of those services.

Contributing to the successful future development of St. Anne’s by highlighting opportunities within the broad corporate aims of the organisation; this will include contributions to policy and procedures and to service developments.

Monitoring your service(s) in such a way that timely corrections are possible.

Establishing and maintaining effective links within your teams, with other organisations, and agencies or workers whose role(s) may impact upon your service area.

Person Specification – Essential Criteria

Minimum 2 years’ experience within the care industry.

Experience with the creation and implementation of care plans.

Competent with IT Packages.

Person Specification – Desirable Criteria

QCF level 3 (minimum) qualification would be expected or willing to work towards.

Social Care Supervisor or Team Leader: 1 year (preferred).

Understanding how to apply industry standards and guidance.
