Solaris HealthCare Waterman located at 4501 Waterman Way, Tavares, FL 32778 is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation department. We welcome professionals committed to delivering collaborative and compassionate care.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation or the United States Department of Education at the time of graduation.
Passed the American Registry Examination prior to 1971 or a national examination approved by the board to determine fitness for practice as a physical therapist.
Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a physical therapist in the state of Florida.
Prior experience in physical therapy, preferred.
Member of state and national American Physical Therapy Association, preferred.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Proficient administrative and public relations skills.
Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in physical therapy.
Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients to obtain their cooperation in treatment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel.
Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician’s written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding physical therapy.
Demonstrate emotional stability to cope with demands of patients and employees.
Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred.
