Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
Current ARRT certification in sonography
Other certifications or licenses requested as required
Essential Work Functions
Understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans
Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging and prioritize comfort and safety
Perform general and vascular sonographic examinations
Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards
Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively
Work efficiently in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical abilities: stationary position, moving equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel, present positive attitude
Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures and equipment
Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular activity schedules, maintain concentration to detail
Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
