Physical Therapist – LV Trop Family Med Cl – Full Time 10‑Hour Rotating Shift (Exempt) (Non‑Union)
Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the incumbent performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic physical therapy health problems in the clinic, counsels patients and families, and monitors patient progress. The Physical Therapist develops and implements physical therapy services, directs patient care in coordination with the inter‑disciplinary team, and ensures compliance with organizational goals and regulatory agencies. Services are provided to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses.

Essential Duties

Initiate and manage patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, interventions, and appropriate referrals.

Conduct in‑depth interviews, construct comprehensive medical histories, perform physical examinations, and explore patient health needs.

Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants and/or aides as necessary.

Order and interpret diagnostic examinations within scope of practice.

Document all aspects of patient evaluation and intervention in accordance with departmental policy.

Participate in clinic and rounds, patient‑care conferences, and interdisciplinary meetings.

Provide patient and family education on preventive care, treatment adherence, and discharge planning.

Manage a full patient caseload while maintaining documentation, communication, and departmental efficiency.

Deliver care across multiple PT settings, including acute, rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics, sports, cardiac, wound care, oncology, and neuro‑physical therapy.

Provide faculty‑level education: mentor students, evaluate performance, serve as clinical instructor for interns, and conduct training for internal or external departments.

Attend at least one professional meeting per year and maintain membership in APTA.

Assume leadership responsibilities in the unit or clinic when required.

Complete special projects assigned by the Clinic Director or chief.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Experience as a Physical Therapist.

Residency or fellowship training in a physical therapy specialty.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Nevada (obtained within 90 days of hire).

Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification from the American Heart Association.

National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.

USC Credentialing from the governing board (obtained within 6 months of hire).

Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) certificate (obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held).

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

Board certification in a physical therapy specialty.

Salary
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00.
