Registered Nurse, Lab Collections / Customer Service - 251686

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is with a diagnostic testing company providing a new service to their current Wilmington clients: in-person patient sample pickup service. This field-based Registered Nurse will specialize in medical office and at-home patient sample collection services.
Field-based Role
Territory: City of Wilmington, NC
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct patient sample pickup visits to doctor offices, clinics, and patient homes for shipment to the company's testing labs. (Will not be performing medical procedures)
Serve as an informational / educational resource to patients and clinic staff about the testing process, services, etc. Coordinate with the HCP to ensure timely and proper collection of specimens.
Provide excellent customer service and establish relationships with clinic staff, physicians, and patients through repeat visits.
Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams to effectively implement this new client service program.
Ensure sample integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Drop off daily collected samples at FedEx for shipment each day by 4:30pm (daily shipping deadline).
Qualifications
Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
2 to 4 years of direct patient care experience that includes hospital work experience
Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills
Able to work independently
Reliable and dependable to coordinate the timely shipment of patient samples every day
Valid driver's license and reliable automobile transportation
Misc:
Mileage Reimbursement provided at 72 cents/mile
Will not be performing any medical procedures
Excellent growth opportunity within the company
Position is Contract to Hire, includes medical benefits during the 4 month initial contract period
Consistent work schedule of 40 hrs/week, standard business hours Mon-Fri
