About the Internship
Undergraduate 2026 LG Summer Intern – CFO Accounting Team
9‑week program from June 1 to July 31, 2024. Work at the LG North America Innovation Campus (HQ) in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Hourly pay $25.00.
Main Project
Support a focused accounting project by reviewing and updating the company’s Fixed Asset (FA) records, including FA classification, departmental assignment, owner in charge, physical asset location, and validation of assets assigned to terminated employees.
Responsibilities
Support the US Accounting Team with core accounting and financial operations.
Review and validate Accounts Payable vouchers to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
Organize, maintain, and update financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist in reviewing and updating company expense policies to ensure alignment with current regulations.
Support month‑end financial close activities.
Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analysis upon request by senior management.
Support internal control activities, including documentation of process narratives, control testing support, and tracking of remediation actions.
Assist in reviewing contracts or business transactions to identify potential accounting implications and summarize key risks.
Qualifications
Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
Rising sophomore or junior in a Finance, Accounting, or Business Analytics major (preferred).
Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
Basic skills in financial and accounting data analysis; proficient in Excel for creating charts and infographics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Teams.
Curiosity and enthusiasm for customer observation, the ability to extract meaningful insights, and strong communication skills.
Outgoing personality and strong communication skills.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $25.00–$28.00 USD.
