
RN - Pre/Post/PACU - Surgical Services ($15,000.00 Sign-On-Bonus)

$42.66/hr + DOE
$3.00/hr OR Differential

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
Cover Preop/PACU RN call as noted above with an arrival time of 30 minutes or less from the call‑in.
Act as patient advocate for surgical and procedural patients.
Evaluates patients and appropriately communicates pertinent information to surgeon or CRNA.
Initiates and maintains IVs as ordered.
Develop and individualized perioperative plan of care for each patient, and implementing this plan by:
protecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous sources;
administering medications safely and correctly;
facilitating optimal surgical outcome for the patient through peri‑operative care providing constant, careful observation and evaluation of patient’s condition;
performing interventions to maintain normothermia;
protecting the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy; and
providing age‑specific, culturally competent, ethical care within legal standards of practice
Provides nursing care during the post‑anesthesia phase of surgery that is appropriate to the age and comorbidities of the patient served and in conformance with hospital policy, AORN standards, and ASPAN standards of care.
Collaborate effectively with other disciplines as applicable (e.g., radiology, lab, med‑surg, ICU, etc.)
Demonstrates the ability for immediate and knowledgeable response in emergency situations.
Follows established protocols and maintains a safe environment for post‑anesthesia phase of surgery
QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
Current unrestricted Montana RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
2 years Preop/PACU experience
ASPAN certification
Computer skills/ EHR skills (Microsoft word, Excel, Cerner)
