Position Summary
UNM-Valencia is seeking a full‑time Administrative Assistant 2 who will work in the Nursing Department. The individual will provide administrative support and is the main point of contact for the department. This person will be responsible for relaying and resolving routine telephone and/or walk‑up inquiries, student questions, and providing instructor assistance as needed, relating to the program. This position requires ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with faculty, students and staff.

Conditions of Employment

If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.

All regular, non‑temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US‑UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in a business related program

Demonstrated experience at a community college or university

Demonstrated experience in an associate or bachelor degree nursing program

Staff Type: Regular - Full‑Time

Pay: $17.39 to $20.00 per hour

Eligible for Remote Work: Yes; hybrid schedule with 2‑3 days in office.
