TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR – Operating Room for a travel nursing position in Atlanta, Georgia.
Job Description
This 13‑week travel assignment requires an OR RN who can work ten‑hour days, 40 hours per week, in the Atlanta, GA operating room. The ID #1410793. You will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, providing pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education, and maintaining a safe, sterile operating environment.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
Provide pre‑ and post‑surgery care and education to patients and families.
Act as a communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team.
Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
Serve as a basic bedside care provider during surgery.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions.
Additional Duties
Circulating OR Nurses
Respond to comfort and safety needs of the patient.
Accurately care for and handle specimens.
Monitor equipment used during surgery.
Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
Scrub OR Nurses
Select and handle surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.
Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
RN First Assistant (if applicable)
Assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care.
Help control bleeding.
Suture patients following surgery.
