Entry‑Level Machine Operator
who’s ready to build a long‑term career in skilled trades.
Position Overview
This entry‑level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work and wants to learn the fundamentals of sheet metal fabrication in a professional shop environment. You’ll receive
on‑the‑job training
while working alongside experienced fabricators, producing components used on large‑scale mechanical projects. No prior shop experience is required—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
Operate and assist in setting up sheet metal fabrication equipment, including
shears, press brakes, and plasma tables
Measure, cut, and form sheet metal according to shop drawings and specifications
Read and interpret basic blueprints and fabrication drawings
Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency
Handle materials, including loading and unloading sheet metal
Maintain a
clean, organized, and safety‑focused
work area
Support the fabrication team as needed to meet production deadlines
What We’re Looking For
Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks in a shop environment
Previous fabrication, manufacturing, or construction experience is a plus—but
not required
