3rd Shift
Essential Job Functions
(The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.)

Must have the ability to read and understand schematics and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs. Allen Bradley preferred

Ability to assemble and wire new control panels per N.E.C. and engineer’s instructions

Able to use Voltmeter, Ammeter, Oscilloscope (preferred, not required) for troubleshooting and draw schematics

Possess knowledge of photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, hall effect sensors, reed switched, actuators and mechanical switches. Must have the ability to troubleshoot and determine correct type of output sinking or sourcing on above components

Recordkeeping, excellent communication skills and ability to analyze problems simply

Must be able to operate power tools and possess good soldering skills

Must be able to use and understand PC DOS and Windows. Understanding of serial, Ethernet and LAN communications

Must have the ability to work to a height of 40 feet above ground on occasion

Must be able to operate forklifts, man lifts, cherry pickers and other industrial vehicles

Other Functions

Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:

Electrical Technical School Graduate or Trade/Military equivalent

Possess five (5) year minimum trade experience

Possess current State of Connecticut E2 License or above

Special Requirements

Must have knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and Lighting Circuits with voltage rating of DC to 500 Volts and AC to 480 volts

Possess thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) Example: wire sixing, fusing, practices, safeties, Lock-Out/Tag Out, Emergency Stop circuits, grounding, and use of handbook

Possess knowledge of relay control circuits, including AS, DC (Servo preferred, not required), drive and able to maintain and troubleshoot

Possess knowledge of relay control circuit including ladder logic and latching circuits and able to troubleshoot

Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment

Communicate effectively with other departments, organizations, and leadership teams

Overtime and weekend work are required

Ability to be on-call for emergencies
