Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lab Technician-Extractions to join our team in Scott, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various extraction procedures and chemical analyses to support our research and development efforts.
Conduct extraction procedures using various techniques such as liquid-liquid and solid-phase extraction
Prepare samples for analysis following established protocols and maintaining sample integrity
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS)
Perform chemical analyses on extracted samples and record accurate data
Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Assist in method development and optimization of extraction procedures
Collaborate with team members and contribute to research projects
Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results
Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions
Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on ongoing projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on extractions
Proficiency in various extraction techniques and principles
Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC-MS
Strong understanding of chemical analysis methods and data interpretation
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data recording and analysis
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulations
Lab safety certification is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
