Qualifications and Experience
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
Current BCLS required.
Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.
Recent (within the last 5 years) experience within an emergency department is required.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a fast paced demanding environment.
Demonstrates strong abilities to facilitate patient and family-centered care and establish therapeutic relationships.
Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients, family and staff.

Hours of Work
In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours). This is a new position. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
