Job Summary
The Café Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Urban Café while working alongside team members in a hands‑on capacity. This role actively participates in food preparation, service execution, and guest interactions while providing on‑shift leadership, guidance, and support to ensure a high‑quality guest experience.

The Café Supervisor helps maintain operational standards, supports team training, and assists with scheduling and inventory processes, all while contributing directly to café operations during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience

Prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages in accordance with brand standards

Deliver excellent guest service, including order assistance, issue resolution, and follow‑up

Ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards at all times

Address and escalate guest concerns as needed

Provide direction and support to team members during assigned shifts

Assist with training new hires on café procedures, food preparation, and service standards

Lead by example in punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to company policies

Support a positive, team‑oriented work environment

Operational Execution

Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating products

Support ordering and maintaining appropriate product levels

Execute daily operational checklists and ensure completion of required tasks

Administrative & Compliance

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Support documentation and use of operational tools (e.g., manager logs, checklists)

Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

2–4 years of food & beverage or hospitality experience required

Previous leadership or shift lead experience preferred

Food Handler/ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Requirements

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment

Comfortable working in a hands‑on role for the majority of the shift

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 lbs

Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ability and willingness to hold oneself accountable for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism

Serve as a role model by demonstrating and upholding Urban Air policies and standards

Work in noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions

Move about facility and stand for long periods of time

Must have regular and predictable attendance
