GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor / Sports Coach (PE-Focused) to work within a large and inclusive secondary school in Ashford. Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor / Sports Coach (PE-Focused)
Supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment
Supporting PE lessons and assisting with the delivery of practical activities
Encouraging student participation, engagement, and teamwork within sports and physical activities
Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Supporting extracurricular sports activities and school enrichment programmes
Acting as a positive role model and providing pastoral support where needed
The Ideal Candidate for the Cover Supervisor / Sports Coach (PE-Focused) role will have:
Experience working with young people (e.g. sports coaching, youth work, education support)
A passion for sport, physical education, and promoting active lifestyles
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
Confidence in leading and supervising groups of students
