Youth Librarian

We’re looking for a Youth Librarian who is creative, compassionate, and excited to connect with children ages 0–10 and their families. In this role, you’ll create memorable library experiences through engaging storytimes, fun crafts, meaningful interactions, and more.

Your work will include time at the Youth Services desk, planning and leading storytimes, supporting outreach efforts, connecting with our afterschool tweens, and teen collection development. You’ll be collaborating with a passionate team that is dedicated to enriching, connecting, and empowering its community.

Qualifications:

MLIS required

2-3 years experience working with children ages 0‑10

Collection development experience with teen literature

Some experience with an automated ILS, preferably SirsiDynix

A valid state driver’s license and auto insurance

Must work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Compensation:

This full-time position offers a pay range of $23.42-$35.14 per hour. Compensation is determined based on how well a candidate’s experience and qualifications align with the responsibilities and requirements of the position. Most offers are expected to fall within the base to mid-range, depending on relevant experience and job requirements.
