Essential duties and responsibilities:

Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language

Provide transportation to clients needing transport services to clinical appointments within the Adult MH outpatient clinic and other appointments outside of the clinic that support mental health treatment

Dependable and have strong customer service skills

Organized and be able to be flexible in their approach to adapt their work schedule to meet the needs of the person and program demands

Work in a therapeutic team serving adults with severe mental illness

Light clerical duties to include scheduling and maintaining accurate travel and maintenance logs

Responsible for ensuring all equipment associated with this position is kept in good working order

Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

Required qualifications to be successful in the job:

High school diploma or GED

One semester (12 credit hours) of accredited college work; or minimum of eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Examination (ABLE) test

Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy

Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Experience working with people who have a mental health diagnosis

Experience working with people who are justice involved

At least six (6) months of work experience of operating a motor vehicle with multiple passengers and experience in a human service field

Basic proficiency in the use of a desktop/laptop computer
